Last Sunday, we had a visit to the Kansas City Northern Railroad. This is about the cutest place to visit if you have train loving kids like I do. We visited last year as well! The miniature trains ride around the 1/2 mile track twice for 50 cents per ride.
From there, it was a short drive to the cute little town of Parkville, MO. Parkville’s downtown is located right off the Missouri River and is known for antique shops and art galleries. The train runs through town – not the miniature train, the real one.
We took a stroll around the Parkville Antique Mall and found a bench – something we’ve been wanting for our bedroom.
Isn’t it sweet?
For years, Dave has been waking me up by sitting on the bed to put on his shoes in the morning. He makes the bed shake when he does it. Well, now he can sit on the bench. Only the bench isn’t sturdy enough and now the creaks it makes are waking me up. Maybe Dave just needs to work on being less shaky when he puts his shoes on?
