It’s been way too long since I linked up with Joyce for the Wednesday Hodgepodge! Today is obviously Thursday, but I liked the questions this week so I decided to participate a day late.
1. August 24th is National Waffle Day…what’s something you’ve ‘waffled’ on recently?
I am working on cleaning up my office room. It’s where I have all the books I haven’t yet read. I keep waffling over whether I should take all my books off my book cart and reorganize them in some sort of order. I know they won’t stay in order, but I wonder if I’ll feel better about all the ones I haven’t read yet if I move them around!
2. Do you like waffles? Make your own or ‘leggo my Eggo? Any favorite toppings or add-ins? Waffles or pancakes-which do you prefer?
Zachary has been eating chocolate chip Eggo waffles for breakfast for awhile now, and now Simon has joined him too, so we go through them pretty quickly! I really only eat waffles at hotels! I will usually add chocolate chips to them! I like pancakes too and I eat mine with jelly rather than syrup.
3. Do you have any mementos from this summer (or past summers)? What do you do with them?
Lately I’ve been buying t-shirts from bookstores that I visit in various locations. This summer I got one from The Raven Lawrence KS and one from The Strand in NYC. We like to get magnets from various places we visit. Also Gabbie brought me back two bracelets and two necklaces from her travels this summer!
4. One thing you’d like to do before summer ends?
Summer is basically over now…but I guess finish cleaning up my office! I’m pretty happy with my progress so far!
5. Life is too short to…
Read books you don’t like. I’ve had too many 3 and 3.5 star books this month! I hope to get to some more 5 stars before the end of the month.

On Tuesday we went to Andy’s for back to school ice cream. We don’t really need an excuse to get ice cream! Zachary does not appreciate pictures, so here are Gabbie and Simon!
